Xin Chao Foodhall

Visualised for an ongoing commercial development in Vietnam, Xin Chao Foodhall was conceived as a food hall selling local delights. Tropical elements native to the country such as red bricks, louvered doors, and vent blocks were introduced to provide a connection with local architecture. Stools are introduced generously in the layout, responding to the local street culture of sitting on very low stools by roadsides for hawker food.

The indoor area portrays a more classy mood, repeating the language of vent blocks but with sleek stainless steel and fluorescent tubes. A mixture of loose tables, booth seats, and communal tables give flexibility to different crowd sizes and ages.
